Born Park Ji-young, she is an award winning pop singer, actress, and dancer. She was the leader of the K-Pop girl group After School from 2009 to 2013. She began her professional career in 2000 as a dancer, but would transition into a singer by 2006. She was then signed by Pledis Entertainment group who groomed her as a performer and eventually placed her in After School.
