Leader of the Labour party in England who sought to unite the group under the banner of progressive politics and support for the lower classes. He was the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change from 2008 to 2010. After graduating from the London School of Economics he was a television journalist and then a researcher for the Labour Party.
