Mexican striker nicknamed "El Matador" who has represented his home country at tournaments like the FIFA World Cup, Copa America and CONCACAF Gold Cup. He won the Golden Boot award at the 1998 CONCACAF Gold Cup and retired as one of the top goal-scorers in Mexican history. He was born in Poza Rica, Veracruz and began his senior career with Cruz Azul in 1990.
