Popular British romance novelist who wrote under many pseudonyms, including Charlotte Lamb, Victoria Wolf, Sheila Lancaster, and Laura Hardy. She is known for her Sins series and her Barbary Wharf books. She was born Sheila Ann Mary Coates in Essex, England. She published her debut novel, Prisoner of the Heart, in 1972.
