The pair first gained fame under the YouTube name fastfrwdmusic where they built an audience posting covers of artists like Katy Perry, Rihanna, and Miley Cyrus. He and his friend Rickard Lindvall met playing ice hockey as children. Then, at age ten, they began playing music together, experimenting with the drums, piano, guitar, and singing.
