Texas legend most famous as the creator and publisher of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. He is remembered to Texans for being a major booster for Fort Worth, Texas and its surrounding areas. He was a traveling salesman before becoming the advertising manager of The Fort Worth Star-Telegram in 1906.
