A French fiction writer, he is best known for his bestselling SAS spy novels, which focus on the adventures of CIA agent Malko Linge. Several of his works, including Eye of the Widow and Victims of Vice, were adapted into films. He worked as a foreign correspondent for several years before publishing his work. He published the first installment of his SAS series in 1965.
