Famous as the keyboardist and sometimes guitarist and songwriter of the London-based alternative rock group Suede, he contributed to the band's albums Coming Up (1996), Head Music (1999), and Bloodsports (2013). Before beginning his musical career, he studied Theater and English at Hull University in Kingston upon Hull, East Yorkshire, England. He began recording with Suede in 1995 and first performed in public with the group in September of 1996.
