Well regarded as the Philippines Queen of Rock 'N Roll, her entertainment career spanned 56 years and included performing on stage and on screen in both TV and film. Her singing career began in the 1940s with her brother Federico, and would take off when she became the undisputed champion of Student Canteen in the 1950s. From there, she was offered a spot at the Manila Grand Opera House Theater.
