Known for his 41-year piano-duet collaboration with Frank Hutchens. For 30 years he was ABC Radio's Mr Melody Man. He wrote film scores for Charles Chauvel's 'Forty Thousand Horsemen' in 1940, and Ken G. Hall's 'Tall Timbers' in 1937. He was an accompanist for flautist John Lemmon' and opera singer Dame Nellie Melba, the latter collaboration beginning in 1922 and continuing until her death.
