Notable as a drummer for the alternative rock band Concrete Blonde, he contributed to several of the group's albums, including Free (1989), Walking in London (1992), and Group Therapy (2002). Before joining Concrete Blonde and recording the band's 1986 debut album, he performed with several other Chicago-based bands, including Special Affect, The Nodes, and 4xy.
