In the early 2000s, he portrayed Simon Meredith on the popular British soap opera Emmerdale. Also a theater actor, he performed in a London West End staging of Love Never Dies and in a tour of the musical Chicago. At the start of his acting career, he played the role of Greg in the BBC1 series Byker Grove.
