A screenwriter and producer, he is most remembered for his scripts for Ace of Spades (1925), Fighting with Buffalo Bill (1926), and The Vanishing Rider (1928). His producing credits include The Border Wildcat (1929), The White Horseman (1921), and The Indians are Coming (1930). He worked as a newspaper reporter in Ohio before pursuing a Hollywood career. One of his earliest screenwriting credits was the 1910 piece, 'Twixt Loyalty and Love.
