Film actor who appeared in more than two dozen tiles from the 1930s to the 1950s and later became a TV director. His long list of credits includes 1975's The Invisible Man, 1960's Thriller, and 1959's 77 Sunset Strip. After completing his studies at RADA in 1927, he made his screen debut.
