Historian studying the environmental history of the United States in the early 19th century who authored the books Doppelg nger, Zombies of Byzantium and Zombie Rebellion. His book The Rats of Midnight is scheduled for release in December of 2015. He was an attorney, practicing real estate law in Portland, Oregon. He specialized in transactions related to timberlands.
