Most famous for his work on the Punisher Marvel Comics series of the mid 1980s, this American writer also penned editions of The Hulk and Avengers. Under the pseudonym of Franklin W. Dixon, he also wrote several Hardy Boys mystery novels. He earned a degree in film, television, and communications from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and subsequently secured arts journalism jobs at several local newspapers.
