Known for such hit records as So Macho, Toy Boy, Cross My Broken Heart, and Right Back Where We Started From from the 1980s. Aside from music, she starred in TV's The X Factor as a judge from 2004 to 2013. She was born in Seattle, Washington, and as a child she appeared in The Wiz. She also starred in the film, Shock Treatment, in 1981.
