Painter, sculptor, and architect whose best-known work was his oil painting "View of Luxembourg from the Fetschenhof" from 1870. He was also known for his collection of lithographs "Voyage pittoresque ' travers le Grand Duch' de Luxembourg" from 1834. He was a student at the Ecole de Dessin where he was taught by the famed Jean-Baptiste Fresez and won the silver medal in 1827.
