American film actor who starred in the 1951 Alfred Hitchcock thriller, Strangers on a Train, and also appeared in The Clock with Judy Garland. He was credited in the 1987 film, Throw Momma from the Train. His parents divorced when he was a child, and his aunt supported his budding interest in acting by paying for his training at New York's American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
