Minimalist artist who used simple elements and materials to create complex works. Some of his output included "Grey Window Wall" from 1964 and the 12-canvas "Column Structure" series from 2006-07. He attended the Cleveland Institute of Art from 1956 until 1959 and Yale University from which he graduated with a BFA in 1961 and an MFA in 1963.
