Liberian poet, novelist, and essayist who is remembered for his 1968 crime novella, Murder in the Cassava Patch. His other works include Ebony Dust (poems) and The Money Doubler (short fiction). He studied agriculture at Virginia Union University in the United States before returning to his native country to work for the Liberian Civil Service.
