Best known as the brother of Saturday Night Live comedian Amy Poehler, he had a career in entertainment in his own right, establishing and performing in a European-produced comedy series titled Welcome to Sweden. After earning a bachelor's degree from Boston College, he received his J.D. from the Fordham University School of Law. He went on to practice intellectual property law in Sweden.
