Poet, playwright, and critic known for his Pulitzer Prize-nominated work, God 's Haircut and Other Remembered Dreams. His other works include Instead of Gifts (Poems for Poets) and Poet As Bad Guy. He attended the University of Chicago and worked as a poetry columnist for the Chicago Daily News.
