Children's author known for the books Lost in the Sun and A Tangle of Knots. She also writes books for teenagers under the name Isla Neal. She studied undergraduate at UCLA and earned a master's degree in creative writing for Children from The New School. She spent five years as an editor prior to writing full-time.
