Famed composer in Hindi cinema. He produced music for "Do Bhai," "Shabnam," "Chupke Chupke," and over 100 other films. He received formal music training from musician K.C. Dey from 1925 until 1930. He was also taught by such notables as K.C. Dey and Ustad Allauddin Khan.
