Singer with the South Korean girl group Girls' Generation, the group known for songs like "Into the New World." She is joined in Girls' Generation by Taeyeon, Yoona, Tiffany, Yuri, Sunny, Seohyun, Sooyoung and Jessica. She began training in dance in elementary school, supplementing her lessons with time at a local hip hop school.
