Anglo-Welsh poet and editor who became known for The Welsh-Speaking Sea, Blaenau Observed, and other works. He co-founded the Anglo-Welsh Review in 1949 and edited the journal until 1960. He converted to Catholicism at the time of his marriage. He also learned the Welsh language from his wife.
