American R&B singer best known as the lead sing of The Temptations from 1984 to 1986, and from 1988 to 1996. He wrote and sang the song Treat Her Like a Lady with the band, which peaked at #2 on the U.S. R&B charts. He was a member of Bill Pinkney's Original Drifters in the 1970s.
