The wife of Dr. Seuss, she wrote her own popular titles, including Do You Know What I'm Going To Do Next Saturday? and I Was Kissed by a Seal at the Zoo. She committed suicide in the late 1960s following a long illness. She graduated from Wellesley College in 1920. Several years later, she met her future husband at Oxford University, where both were students.
