Prior to taking office in 2004 as DeKalb County Commissioner, this Democratic Party politician represented Georgia's forty-third district in the State Senate. After earning a bachelor's degree in business from Georgia State University, she earned her Master of Public Administration from California State University, Dominguez Hills.
