In 2014, Franco became a third baseman for the Major League Baseball team the Philadelphia Phillies. By mid-2015, he had a batting average of .274 and a career total of 54 hits and 9 home runs. Before making his MLB debut in a September 2014 game against the Atlanta Braves, he played for the Gulf Coast Phillies; the Williamsport Crosscutters; the Lakewood Blue Claws; the Clearwater Threshers; the Reading Fightin Phils; and the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.
