British politician who became the British Ambassador to Israel in 2011 and was the Principal Private Secretary to the Foreign Secretary from 2007 until 2010 while running the office for David Miliband. He joined the British Foreign Office in 1993 and served as Assistant Desk Officer, Security Policy Department until 1994.
