President of Cameroon from 2004 to 2009. He was arrested in 2012 in connection with the Albatross affair wherein several state and corporate officials are alleged to have swindled over FCFA 15 billion intended for the purchase of a presidential aircraft in 2003. He was Treasurer of the Cameroonian Embassy to the United States.
