Poet who founded the Aesthetic Realism movement and is best known for a 1958 poetry collection entitled Hot Afternoons Have Been in Montana. He also published such works of literary criticism as Is Beauty the Making One of Opposites? and Self and World: An Explanation of Aesthetic Realism. He grew up in Baltimore in the late 1920s and lived most of his adult life in New York City.
