English goalkeeper who played professionally from 1987 to 2006, most notably for Crystal Palace and Leeds United. He won a total of 23 caps for England and was named the Leeds United Player of the Year in 1997. He was born in St. Austell and played amateur soccer for Heavy Transport, Bugle and St Blazey.
