British poet, playwright, and scholar who is best known for his 1914 poem "For the Fallen." His other poetic works include Winnowing Fan, London Visions, and The Madness of Merlin. He graduated from Trinity College, Oxford and quickly took a job in the British Museum's Printed Books Department.
