Legendary 1990s emcee and songwriter formerly of the record label First Priority Music, he is best recognized for his hit singles "I Got a Man" and the popular duet with MC Lyte "I'm Not Havin' It." He later went on to pursue a career in standup comedy. His career began in 1986 when he released his debut on the showcase album Fast Money for the short-lived label Star Maker.
