The wife and muse of novelist Graham Greene, she became famous as a collector of dolls' houses. She published several books on her favorite topic, including English Dolls' Houses of the Eighteenth and Nineteenth Centuries (1955) and Family Dolls' Houses (1973). She was born in Africa. When she was in her teens, she published a poetry and prose collection titled The Little Wings.
