Silver medal winning heavyweight boxer at both the 2008 Beijing and 2012 London Summer Olympic Games. He also competed for the World Series of Boxing league Italia Thunder team. He scored an early gold medal victory at the 2005 Almeira Mediterranean Games in the heavyweight division.
