Made a name for himself in Mexico on the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre circuit and also in his home country of Japan as part of the Hustle, Smash, and Wrestling New Classic promotions. His career got off to a rough start with losses to Kazuchika Okada in the 2004 Young Dragons Cup and Hiromi Horiguchi and Ryusuke Taguchi in the 2005 Yamaha Cup.
