Stage and screen actress who married playwright Harold Pinter and starred in many of his productions, including The Room, The Lover, and The Homecoming. She also received an Oscar nomination for her role in Alfie, a 1966 film. She met her future husband during a production of Agatha Christie 's Witness for the Prosecution.
