American poet and author known for Instructions to the Double, Moon Crossing Bridge, and other works. An acclaimed author, she was the recipient of both the Elliston Award and the Maxine Cushing Gray Foundation Award. She attended the University of Washington. She published her debut poetry chapbook, Stepping Outside, in 1978.
