An American author of novels and screenplays, she is best known for Tell Me That You Love Me, Junie Moon. Her other popular works include The Smile of the Cardboard Man; The Oldest Trick in the World; and Like the Lion's Tooth. She worked for Salute Magazine and wrote about the aftermath of World War II.
