Republican politician who became the U.S. Representative for Georgia's 11th congressional district in 2003. He became an official candidate in the 2014 race for Georgia's position in the U.S. Senate. He received a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Georgia Tech in 1965, and attended Medical College of Georgia before working as an obstetrician.
