Author whose books about Christianity include Preaching Re-Imagined: The Role of the Sermon in Communities of Faith and BodyPrayer : The Posture of Intimacy with God. Also a pastor, he founded the church Solomon's Porch in southern Minneapolis. His first book, entitled A Christianity Worth Believing: Hope-filled, Open-armed, Alive-and-well Faith for the Left Out, Left Behind, and Let Down in us All, was published in 2008.
