Known best for his roles in the television series Pyarey Afzal (as the character Afzal) and Meray Dard Ko Jo Suban Miley (as Azam), Abbasi also delivered an acclaimed performance in the 2013 film Waar. After studying film at a university in the United States, he returned to his native Pakistan and pursued a career as a professional stage actor, appearing in productions of Phantom of the Opera and Bombay Dreams. Hamza Ali Abbasi is a Pakistani theatre, film and television actor, model and director. He is known for his roles as Afzal in the drama serial Pyarey Afzal, and as Azam in the drama serial Meray Dard Ko Jo Zuban Miley.
