Pitcher who won the National League Rookie of the Year award in 2014 for his stellar first season with the New York Mets, posting a 2.69 ERA and 144 strikeouts. He was named National League Rookie of the Month twice during the season. In 2015, he helped the Mets reach the World Series. He played baseball and basketball at Calvary Christian Academy in Ormond Beach, Florida. He played college baseball at Stetson University.
