Famous for her role as Kerry Wyatt on the popular British soap opera Emmerdale, she is also known for her stage work, which includes a starring role in a Royal Shakespeare Company production of Keepers of the Flame and a performance in a production of I'm Sorry -- Present: Tense with Nabakov. During her teenage years, she performed with a theater company in Newcastle, England and went on to study drama at Tyneside College.
