Military commander and politician known for being the Vice President of Zimbabwe. He was appointed to the position in 2014 after John Nkomo, the previous vice president, died while in office. He served in the Zimbabwe People's Revolutionary Army. He fought in the Rhodesian Bush War, which helped Zimbabwe (then Rhodesia) gain independence.
