Landed his breakthrough role in the 2013 film Palo Alto which he initially intended to be a one-and-done acting job before applying to college. After production on the film ended, he decided to become a full-time actor. He met Palo Alto director Gia Coppola in the 1st grade (she was in the 6th grade) while attending The Center for Early Education in Los Angeles.
